so, here's your options for mewtwo now: keep him as he is, being able to mega evolve him at will and have him return to his previous form whenever you desire, at the cost of having a lower BST and move range, OR evolve him traditionally to get a new pumped up version of mewtwo, at the cost of being able to reverse the effects and no longer being able to mega evolve him. choose wisely.

edit: yes, I'm aware of the new "mega evolves". here's how this is going to work: any evolved pokemon who has a pre evolve that has a mega evolution and is holding a mega stone will lose HP both during a battle and outside of it. they will not be able to mega evolve anymore.
now, mewtwo IN THE GAMES will admit to being highly dissatisfied by is mega evolves, so he takes it upon himself to create an evolution to his liking. the only problem is that unlike mega evolves, he cannot return to his previous forms (not that he cares, he can create the illusion that he is still one of his other forms/stages at will)

Guess I shouldn't be talking though, after all I did make this monstrosity. anyways, I figured since its spring break and I'm currently taking a break from the bone drawing, and I've been slacking hard on fakemon, I'd at least give some line arts updates.

Megamew's changed quite a bit, mostly to better match the fact he used other Pokemon's DNA to better enhance himself, or evolve. In the games, it's explained that to sooth out some of the rough edges of his abilities (such as being unable to wield dragon type moves or having shitty-ass defense) he attempted the impossible; evolving. Of course, it will also mention in the game that the genesect movie never actually happened in real life and that megamew was unknown at the time, so he was obviously excluded.

"mewtwo, wanting to become stronger than his body would allow, decided that he would do something most Pokemon do to become potentially stronger; evolve. of course, he would have to improvise, due to the fact that he was a legendary. so, he took the genes from a riolu that was getting ready to evolve, a male lv 100 alakazam, a charizard (for the left wing) and a pidgeot (for the right wing) combining that with his own DNA, he injected that into his body, then followed the requirements to get riolu to evolve, causing him to do the same. the final result was a form of mewtwo more powerful than lugia and having all the powers of his previous form and that of all the Pokemon he used DNA from. plus, he gained the powers his mother, mew, had that he did not. but then, realizing his new weakness (he became a duel psychic-dark type) he thought it would be appropriate to create an immunity to bug type moves. so, he did. using DNA from Pokemon with resistances to bug types, he created a new ability insecticide. this ability prevents bug type moves from being used on him during battle and repels bug types when not in battle when he's first in party."

the charizard and pidgeot no longer apply, instead he used dragonite DNA so he could wield dragon type moves. he also used DNA from several other psychic types, including gallade, kadabra, espeon, and Reuniclus, and several non-psychic types, including lucario, zoroark, and several others.
